so like the thing about voldemort is that he’s reacting to oppression right
like wizards were oppressed by muggles, and the prejudice caused by that on both sides is still sticking- the dursleys show it, that the bias is not gone. however, we all see that the reaction to hate all muggles is bad right?
like yeah hate the ones who are jerks, hate vernon dursley- but we dont hate dudley and petunia as much in the end because, in dudley’s case, he knows he was wrong. and petunia, we don’t think she should hate wizards, but we see why and that allows her to be a more multi-dimensional person than just an angry jerk.
and i was thinking about this with the allies thing. like- people get angry because they think trying to have a space just or queer individuals is a voldemort reaction, but its not. hogwarts is a place for magical individuals, right? its a home where you know everyones magic and thats good, you arent scared at all to be magical. while mixing up muggles might be nice for a few days, if you combined a normal secondary school with hogwarts it wouldn’t be the same. thats not to say that muggles arent good or important, its just to say that they are different than wizards and have different troubles. and thats fine. and they can reach out to each other and talk about the similarities, but they are still different. which is good!
and idk. i think that this has alot of relevance. and i dont know why people aren’t talking about that?
